This was a public art commission that I completed for University City, Missouri. It consisted of 5 historical photographs placed in the original locations where they were shot. When standing in front of the work, the viewer could perfectly match up the landscape between then (on average 100 years in the past) and now. The work was generated to tell about the history of University City and create community pride and interest.
I work with paper, glass, wire, and natural stones. These miniature books are all coated to be water resistant on the outside while the insides can be written in. For more durability, I also offer books that are made with tyvek pages and are thus water and tear proof.
